This is one of Marilyn's best (if not, the best) CD she's made. I feel God's peace and love when I listen to it, the words are so encouraging, so loving and it puts me in a better frame of mind, just listening to her! Even my little granddaughter is more calm and loving when she's listening to it. A good one to listen to if you can't sleep, or if you're feeling stressed or worried. I have purchased several copies to give away. A good way to spread God's love.

This 40 day devotional is like having your best friend draw alongside to comfort, support and inspire when the days are hard and your heart is hurt. Tracy is sympathetic, never condemns or judges, but seems to know exactly what you need to read and hear on any given day! She draws out helpful ideas from the Scripture verses, adds her own prophetic and reflective words, suggests prayers; and adds extra readings if you want to dig deeper or have the time. I particularly appreciated some of her poems and reflections. Her own personal story is sometimes woven into the daily (short) chapters and is also helpful. Whether or not you are in a desert experience right now, this book is recommended - and it's a good book to gift to someone else who is indeed going through a tough time. I had a pre-release copy and these are mine own experiences with the book.

Tracy Williamson has a wonderful ability to convey the Father’s heart for His children. In this 40 day devotional she helps draw us into the Father’s presence in those times when we feel we are trudging through a wilderness or struggling with pain and despair. Tracy openly shares how she has come through her own desert experiences and leads us on a journey of grace and goodness with a gentle authentic voice. Through scripture and reflection she shows us that it is often in these desert experiences, when we’ve lost sight of God’s protection, provision and benevolence, that God is doing his deepest work. I personally found this devotional very powerful and wholeheartedly recommend it. I received a complimentary copy of this book but this is my own fair and honest review.

Throughout my life particular songs have spoken to me at different times.  I love to hear the Scripture that is so entwined in her songs; God often uses songs to speak to me and remind me of truth, and often uses Marilyn's songs particularly.

I would totally recommend this book, especially for anyone struggling with knowing just how much God loves you. Tracy writes from a personal position, and in fact the book contains a lot of her personal testimony.

I was struggling with a migraine this morning and God dropped 'Rest in my love' and 'Nothing more important' into my mind which has led to a precious time spent listening to Him through Marilyn's songs.
